Buff your lips gently with your toothbrush once or twice a week to slightly exfoliate your lips.

It will last longer if you apply a little foundation on the lips.

Then I like to apply a lip liner over the entire lip to ensure the colour stays fixed for longer. IsaDora Perfect Lipliner Transparent Lip Fix or Urban Decay’s Ultimate Ozone Lip Primer prevents fading and feathering of the lip colour.

Cotton buds are great for this look, use them to blend or if you make a mistake just push upwards towards the lip.

When picking a red for your big day it always nice to try a few different colours and be sure to take photos to see which one you like best on camera.

For this look I used MAC Russian Red which is a true vintage red lip colour, its matte texture means its great for long lasting. Another popular red in the MAC range is ‘Ruby Woo’ a very complementary red which suits most people. The lipstick neutralize any redness in the skin and makes your teeth look whiter!

I love natural tones on the eyes for this look, black liquid eye liner and plenty of mascara or false lashes.

Keep a bronze tone to for your blusher, apply to the apples of your cheeks.

Avoiding the classic red-toothed smile. Immediately after you’ve applied your lipstick, discretely place your index finger in your mouth, gently close your lips around it, then pull it out. The excess lipstick will come off on your finger rather than your teeth.

Bridesmaids need to be on high alert for this look and ready to top up at any time.

To avoid leaving a trail of kisses on your groom’s lips use your Lip sealant again by dipping it onto your brush apply a layer and let it set for ten seconds with lips slightly parted. And voila, her lipstick will last all day!
