POST TREATMENT CARE

First step in the healing procedure: 30 minutes after the microblading treatment gently cleanse your eyebrows using Phi Wipes without stretching the skin. Do not touch the healing pigmented area with your fingers at any time as they may have bacteria on them and create an infection. Cleanse the skin until you find traces of pigment on the wipes. In this way the excess shall be removed in order to prevent formation of scabs which are otherwise devastating when it comes to pigment.

Having cleansed the skin, you should then apply the thinnest layer of Skin Candy using a clean cotton bud. During the day this process should be repeated 5 times. If the treatment was done in the evening then it will be necessary to apply your Phi Patch to the eyebrows and sleep with them on to protect the colour pigment while you sleep.

On days 2 – 7 no need to wash but apply the Phi Shield cream morning and evening. If you need to clean the brow area use only water wipes or cotton wool and a little H20. The eyebrows must not get wet while washing the face or having a shower. Before bathing and showering, gently apply a light coating of  Vaseline on the procedure area using a clean cotton swab. Continue this regime until the procedure is completely healed.

During the first 7 days,

  • Avoid all creams and makeup in the eyebrow area.
  • Avoid tinting of lashes or brows.
  • Avoid exercises that cause excessive sweating.
  • Also avoid sauna, facial massage, sun exposure, sauna, steam, exercise, Jacuzzi, swimming in chlorine pools or in the ocean.
  • Do not rub or traumatize the procedure area while it is healing, pigment may be removed along with crusting tissue.

In the next 30 days you need to

  • Avoid, Suntanning, sunbeds, Laser Light therapy, chemical peels, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, creams that contain regeneration factors. You should always avoid Laser treatments over the treated area during the healing period (IPL, Fraxel Laser) because they can destory the pigment and cause inflammation.
  • Do not use ANY products that contain AHA’s, Vit A, Retinol A or similar lightening and peeling products on the procedure area. Example: Lactic Acids Glycolic. (Check your product labelling and read the ingredients on the back of the bottle of product you are using).  It will fade your pigment

Faster fading out of pigment can happen if the client use antibiotics or hormaonal therapy.

Always protect your eyebrows from the sun by using sun protection cream to prevent future fading of pigment colour.

Aloe Vera can pull the colour out of some clients so we suggest that they do not use this product while they are healing.

If you are a blood donor, you may not give blood for 1 year following your treatment.

If you experience any itching, swelling, blistering, or any other complications post procedure, stop using product and call your technician immediately.  You may be allergic to the after care product you are using.

If you have any questions or concerns please notify your technician immediately.

Clients need to follow ALL Aftercare Instructions for good results of their procedure. Failure to follow the advice will result in less than desired results.

Immediately post treatment, you will typically experience redness, tenderness and swelling of the skin, which will subside over 1-4 days. The treated area may feel a bit like sunburn afterwards in some cases, bruising may occur. The color and intensity will be darker and sharper immediately after the procedure. This will reduce by 30-50% over two weeks post treatment.

Skin will start to flake and maybe have a slight itch after about 5 days. Do not pick at the brow when the color starts to peel. Color will start to lighten and appear blurry. After about 2 weeks, the color and definition will start to return and even out.

Clients colour will look must darker first 10 days as the procedure has blood and lymph in it.  After the area peels, the colour will be softer.  This is natural and part of the treatment process. Be patient, even if you think too much colour has been lost, as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating.

Touch up visits should be scheduled between 30-45 days post procedure.  All Phibrow procedures are two step process. Results are not determined until touches up applications are completed.

Remember all procedures must HEAL, PEAL, and FADE!  This process may take up to 10 days.
